HABC Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Client Moving & Handling Instructor (QCF)


The HABC Level 3 Award in Education & Training qualification is essential those entering the teaching industry, as well as anyone currently teaching or wishing to teach their subject specialism. F1 Training Services are now offering this course in conjunction with a Client Moving & Handling Instructor’s course.

The course will be delivered  in a classroom environment.

What are the entry requirements for this qualification

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course. There are no entry requirements for the HABC Level 3 section, candidates should be experienced and have undertaken a 2 Day Client Moving & Handling course before registering for the Instructor award. Learners should be prepared to deliver part of the Moving & Handling course as part as the assessment.

How is it achieved?

Learners must produce a portfolio of evidence that will meet the learning outcomes for the units that the learner selects to achieve. They must also complete a practical assessment which consists of a 20 minute micro-teach session delivered as part of the programme, where both tutor and peer feedback will be given. The assessment will be on the patient handling skills you have been taught throughout the course.

 Client Moving & Handling Instructor Course Structure:

People Handling Train the Trainer qualification is a practical and interactive course which provides the technical knowledge, training skills and course material to design, develop and deliver effective manual handling training to those who move and handle people and patients.

Enrolment requirements:

  • Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English
  • Delegates must be fit enough to enable them to demonstrate basic people handling techniques
  • Health care and training experience are useful but not essential

  • Comprehensive course manual
  • Lesson plans for suggested training courses
  • CD with presentations for handler training courses
  • Useful extras such as a sample written test, a practical assessment sheet, a suggested risk assessment form and details of suppliers for manual handling training aids

Course cost £990 plus vat per person.
